Why asking "Am I Dreaming?"
I saw the vibrant colours of these flowers today and asked myself: "Am I dreaming?" Why did I do this?
There are two answers to this and one of them is a very important reason why I love Dream Work so much.
When I dream there are often very intense colours. And also, luckily, I can encounter them in the waking state as well. So whenever I see something like the colours of these flowers in the waking state I ask myself if I am dreaming.
Why? Like this you create a habit. It sinks into your subconscious and eventually you will ask yourself in your Dreams too and it will help you to understand that you are dreaming.
Whenever you ask yourself this question there are two ways that you will be answering it.
The first is, you are in a Dream and the answer is "Yes". To come to that answer maybe you want to perform a Reality Check after you have seen your Dream Sign. (In another post I will talk more about what Reality Checks are.) Like this you will understand that you are Dreaming, this is amazing, it helped you to wake up in your Dream and you are lucid now.
The second answer is "No". After performing a Reality Check, after observing really where you are, you come to that conclusion and this is absolutely amazing too. Because by asking yourself this, by truly questioning it, you anchor yourself in the Here and Now. You find into that magical moment which is the present moment.
Very rarely we do this. Most of the time we walk around like zombies, worried about our to-do lists.
But what if we really take a moment to truly see those flowers? Everything changes.
This is one of the big reasons why I love Dream Work, because it can help us to find into the Now and to wake up in each state of consciousness.
So, reason number one why to ask yourself if you are dreaming is to wake up in your dreams. Reason number two is, to wake up in life.
